Headed up into the Wheeler Wilderness outside Taos after the storm moved out yesterday. And boy, did it leave its mark! It's a winter wonderland right from the trailhead, with a beautiful blanket of fresh powder covering everything. The snow crystals were glistening in the sunlight, making the whole landscape sparkle.
There's just something magical about the mountains after a good snowstorm. The familiar trails suddenly feel like a whole new world, and every turn reveals another picture-perfect winter scene.
It's so good to finally have snow back in the mountains. Winter has a way of bringing out their magic, and today was a wonderful reminder of why I love being out there!
